Spirit Bear Adventures offers weekly 4 and 7 day tour departures from Aug 15 until the end of September. Seven day tours depart every Friday and four day tours depart every Friday and Monday.

Exploring the Kitasoo/Xaixais Culture (P. Chatterton)

Our tours focus on viewing the magnificent bears that inhabit our remote part of the Great Bear Rainforest including the white Kermode bears of Princess Royal Island as well as the large grizzly bears, which roam the coastal estuaries. These tours offer the best chance for guests to view and learn about these fascinating creatures in their natural environment. Tours are led by local Native guides who will also share their rich cultural heritage.

Included:

  • Welcome orientation.
  • Three, or six nights accommodation in our Floathouse, with shared bathroom and shower.
  • All meals, snacks and beverages while in Klemtu (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and on tours. Note: Klemtu is a dry community and alcohol is not provided on tours.
  • Interpretive guides on all tours.
  • Services of all Spirit Bear Adventures staff.
  • Evening interpretive/cultural programs when available
  • All transportation to the bear viewing areas and cultural sites.
  • Bear viewing tour
  • Your choice of the following activities (minimum 4 participants):
    1. Additional bear viewing tours.
    2. Tours for viewing cultural sites and interpretive walks
    3. Tours for viewing other wildlife including: marine wildlife, wolves, bald eagles and other bird life. Note: tours are dependent on location and availability.
  • Rubber boots and rain/floater jackets when required
  • Park and First Nations User Fees

Note: All of our tours are weather dependent and it may be difficult to fit all tour options in on the four day package.
